Face Empties

Fresh Advanced Sugar Lip Balm

Price: $26

The Fresh Advanced lip balm is said to leave your lips moisturized for up to 24 hours. I think 24 hours is a bit of an extreme claim, but I do agree this lip balm is great at moisturizing the lips. I love how thick this one is. Typically you would only find this level of thickness for a lip balm that is housed in a pot, which would require you to dip your fingers into it. But this one is conveniently housed in a twist-up applicator. This is a great lip balm to put on before bed or just under a face mask. This is definitely on the pricer side, but Fresh tends to make great kits, so if you see this one in a kit, I would recommend giving it a try!

Ingredients: Cera Alba (Beeswax), Sim-mondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Hydro- genated Olive Oil Decyl Esters, Hydrogenat-ed Palm Kernel Glycerides, Ricinus Commu- nis (Castor) Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Parfum (Fra-grance), Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides, Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter, Prunus Domestica Seed Oil, Copernicia Cer- ifera (Carnauba) Wax, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Veg-etable Oil, Passiflora Incarnata Seed Oil, Su- crose Tetrastearate Triacetate, Crithmum Maritimum Extract, Commiphora Mukul Resin Extract, Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Tetraisopal-mitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbyl Palmi- tate, PEG-6 Isostearate, Caprylic/ Capric Tri- glyceride, Ammonium Glycyrrhizate, Trihy-droxystearin, Hesperetin Laurate, Vanillin, Butylene Glycol, BHT, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hexylene Glycol, Phe- noxyethanol, Limonene, Citral, Benzyl Alco- hol, Linalool, Geraniol.

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Moisturizer

Price: $42 for 1.6oz

I reviewed the Fresh Deep Hydration moisturizer several months back and my feelings for it remains the same. I love the consistency and the way my skin feels after using it. The light cucumber scent is refreshing and my skin looks and feels so plump in the morning after using it. I do think this moisturizer could work for multiple skin types and needs.

Fenty Skin Hydra Vizor Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen

Price: $35 for 1.7oz

The Fenty Skin Hydra Vizor Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen is a multipurpose moisturizer and spf formula. The Hydra Vizor is said to be a lightweight moisturizer that works for all skin types. It’s formulated with antioxidants (wild watermelon), niacinamide (helps the appearance of dark spots), and hyaluronic acid (soothe and condition).

As someone with normal to oily skin, I actually found this spf too heavy and left me looking very shiny when I tried to use it during the warmer month. I ended up finishing this during the winter and only wearing it on the days I knew I wasn’t leaving the house. Although, this did not work out for me, I love the concept of the packaging and the fact that the inner tube could be removed and replaced with a refillable one.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oleosomes, Pentylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Niacinamide, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Citrullus Lanatus (Watermelon) Seed Extract, Adansonia Digitata Pulp Extract, Barosma Betulina Leaf Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Tocopheryl Acetate, Gluconolactone, Sorbitan Oleate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Dimethicone, Isohexadecane, Ethylhexyl Methoxycrylene, Polysorbate 80, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Tocopherol, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Benzyl Salicylate, Citral, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool, Red 33.

AmorePacific Vintage Single Extract Essence

Price: $95 for 2.3 oz

The AmorePacific Essence is one that has a lot of hype surrounding it. An essence is a step in your skincare routine after your toner, but before applying your serums. Some have a consistency that can be very watery and others are more viscous. The Amore Essence is more on the watery side.

I was hesitant to trying it due to the price. $100 for an essence is extreme in my opinion. However, being that this one was gifted to me in exchange for a review, I thought I would give it a fair shot for several months. The anti-aging essence is said to help with firmness of the skin, improve clarity and help with the overall texture. I can’t say that I noticed any of the results first hand. I did find that this helped my skin look and feel smooth. It also helped with adding extra hydration to my skin.

Overall, I really liked how my skin felt while I was using it, but I cannot justify the price. If you are interested in seeing some of my other Essence suggestions, check out this post, TOP 10 Beauty Products of 2020.

Ingredients:  Water, Propanediol, Glycerin, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

Youth to the People Kale Cleanser

Price: $36 for 8oz

The Youth to the People Kale Cleanser is one of my favorite cleansers. It has been on and out of my routine for quite some time. The cleanser is formulated with antioxidants (vitamins c, e and k), and said to remove make-up, dirt and help balance the pH of the skin. The cleanser is housed in a glass jar with a pump and has an overall clean aesthetic to it.

This gel cleanser is one I can easily use morning and night. When using it my skin never feels stripped. I love how well it cleanses my face. I do think the price is a bit on the higher end for a cleanser, but if you’re able to snag this on sale, I would recommend doing so.  I have seen a few complaints about the pump leaking although this was not a problem I had. However, I somehow managed to get water into mine while it was being held on a shelf in my shower.

Ingredients: Water, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf (Aloe Vera) Juice, Sorbeth-230 Tetraoleate, Polysorbate 20, Brassica Oleracea Acephala (Kale) Extract, Spinacia Oleracea (Spinach) Leaf Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Medicago Sativa (Alfalfa) Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Glycerin, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Decyl Glucoside, Sorbitan Laurate, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Gluconolactone, Calcium Gluconate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Maltodextrin, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Chlorophyllin-Copper Complex (CI 75810), Gardenia Jasminoides (Jasmine) Fruit Extract, Fragrance.

Fresh Vitamin Nectar Antioxidant Mist

Price: $25 for 3.3 oz

The Fresh Nectar mist is made with vitamins C, B5, and E. This a true mist has such a beautiful fine mist. I loved using this mist in between steps of my skincare routine or prior to applying my toner. I love how well this left my skin feeling hydrated my skin and how refreshing it felt. The travel size lasted me several months even with over misting. I would definitely consider getting this in the full size verison!

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Sodium Tocopheryl Phosphate, Tocopherol, Panthenol, Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, Copper Gluconate, Propanediol, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Menthoxypropanediol, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Limonene, Linalool.

Haircare Empties

Bumble and Bumble Curl Reactivator

Price: $28 for 8.5 oz

The Bumble and Bumble Curl Reactivator is described as a super moisturizing mist to enhance curls and reactivate curls. I tried the shampoo and conditioner from this line and this mist was the product I enjoyed the most. Although, I enjoyed this product the most, I do not think it did much for me. It is recommended for hair types that are wavy, curly and coily.

I agree with this mist being moisturizing, but I don’t think it did much to enhance my coily curls. I typically used this mist, as I would like water to wet my hair. I can’t say that the formula did much to revive my curls. The curl reactivator mist is not a product I would repurchase, but if I had it on hand, I would use it.

Ingredients: Water\Aqua\Eau, Propanediol, Butylene Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hydrolyzed Corn Starch, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol, Glycerin, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Tocopherol, Lactic Acid, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Octyldodecyl Citrate Crosspolymer, Polyglyceryl-10 Dipalmitate, Polyglyceryl-10 Dioleate, Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Distearyldimonium Chloride, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, BHT, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hyaluronate, Fragrance (Parfum), Citral, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Linalool, Geraniol, Limonene, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol.

Briogeo Mini Farewell Frizz™ Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioner Spray

Price: $9 for 1.75oz

The Roscaro Leave-In described as a lightweight conditioner spray that helps to tame frizz. I really loved using this prior to blow drying my hair. The conditioner helps to detangle my hair and add moisture without weighing my hair down. I do think it helped against frizz somewhat. I say somewhat, because when you are blow drying curly hair to be straight, there is going to be some level of frizz. I definitely would consider purchasing or trying this out for the occasions that I keep my hair curly.

If you have any type of curls or waves, definitely check this out. If you have straight hair, there is a chance the formula may be too heavy as this formula is made with different oils (rosehip, argan and coconut).

Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Polyglyceryl-6 Stearate*, Isopropyl Palmitate*, Glycerin*, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil*, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil*, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract*, Cetrimonium Chloride, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Peel Oil*, Cetearyl Alcohol*, Glyceryl Stearate*, Citric Acid*, Polyglyceryl-6 Behenate*, Caprylhydroxamic Acid*, Fragrance (Parfum), Benzyl Alcohol*. *Coconut, vegetable, or plant derived.

Briogeo Be Gentle Be Kind Avocado Kiwi Hair Mask

Price: $36 for 8oz

The Be Gentle Be Kind Avocado hair mask is described as a protein-free deep conditioning mask that is made with vitamins and phytonutrients to help boost the moisture of the hair. I can easily say this is the best conditioner in the Briogeo line-up! A little of this goes a long way! I think it does a great job to hydrate and keep my curls feeling moisturized for days.

If you’re thinking of trying any of the conditioners from the Briogeo line, skip the regular ones and give this one a try instead.

Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Cetyl Alcohol*, Stearyl Alcohol*, Behentrimonium Chloride*, Brassica Alcohol*, Propanediol*, Cetyl Esters*, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil*, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Fruit Extract*, Spirulina Maxima Extract*, Spinacia Oleracea (Spinach) Leaf Extract*, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Biotin, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter*, Salvia Hispanica Seed Oil*, Isododecane, Brassicyl Isoleucinate Esylate*, Coccinia Indica Fruit Extract*, Aloe Barbadensis Flower Extract*, Solanum Melongena (Eggplant) Fruit Extract*, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract*, Ocimum Basilicum (Basil) Flower/Leaf Extract*, Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract*, Isopropyl Myristate*, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract*, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract*, Cetrimonium Chloride*, Cetearyl Alcohol*, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride*, Corallina Officinalis Extract*, Behentrimonium Methosulfate*, Panthenol, Volcanic Ash*, Arginine*, Glycerin*, Curcumin*, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Palmaria Palmata Extract*, Mineral Salts*, Butylene Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract*, Potassium Sorbate*, Sodium Benzoate*, Fragrance (Parfum), Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol. *Coconut, vegetable, or plant derived.
