Cleansers, Toner & Spf

Cleansers

It should come by no surprise that the Drunk Elephant Slaai Cleanser has been one of my favorite cleansers for removing makeup this year. I was gifted my first container of it by the brand and a few months later I purchased it own my own. If you’re interested in finding out why I love this cleansing balm so much, please check out the dedicated post that reviews it in detail.

Two of my favorite hydrating toners this year has been the Indie CoQ10 Toner and the Laneige Cream Skin Toner. Both are products that I plan to keep in my collection and routine.

SPF

The Supergoop Unseen has been one of my favorite sunscreens this year. As someone who gets pretty oily during the summer, this helped to control my oils and didn't leave a whitecast. I love wearing with under make-up and alone. It’s also makes a great make-up primer!

Serums & Oils

Serums

The Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum has been one of my favorite night serums this year. I used it pretty much every other night and sometimes paired with the Drunk Elephant A-Passioni Retinol Serum. The TLC serum is a 12 percent AHA/BHA that includes glycolic, lactic, tartaric, citric, and salicylic acids. Throughout the year of usage I’ve noticed that my skin has been smoother, even toned and has minimized the frequency of white heads that I would get monthly. Although the blend of acids may be too strong for others, it’s a perfect blend for me. I never noticed my skin feeling sensitive or any barrier issues using it.

I know this serum is on the pricey side, but I love that a little goes a long way. Only 1-2 pumps is needed per application. The full size bottle should last at least 6 months. DE also makes this in a mini kit that makes it great to try out the serum or for travel purposes.

Make-up

The Kosas brand made it on to my radar the beginning part of this year. What initially caught my eye was their sleek black and white packaging. They kindly gifted me a few of their palettes and one in particular has had my attention for the year. The color combo that I love is helios. The golden shade is my perfect highlighter shade. Prior to this palette and this brand, I had only used powder formulas. The Kosas Color & Light: Crème Cream Blush & Highlighter Duo has really changed my daily make-up application!

Body Care

Native Deodorant

Native deodorant has been one of my favorite deodorants that I’ve tried thus far and believe me I’ve tried many. I’ve been using only natural deodorant for little over a year and finding one that works best with your natural body chemistry can be quite challenging. Native has been one that has worked great for me.

Byrdeo Fragrance

If you follow me on instagram, then you may see me constantly raving about the Byrdeo scents. I discovered them this year and since then there’s been no turning back. I love how long last and unique each scent is. Unfortunately, I don’t like how pricey they are. My favorite scent that I’ve tried thus far is the Mojave Ghost scent.
